Felix Gray – Wanna be startin something (Original extended mix)…
Yet another cover of the late Michael Jacksons classic tune which was recently covered by Akon. This version has a similar vocal style to the Akon version until the gentle intro eventually gives way to a stonking, heavy electro bassline which will have great effect on a crowded dancefloor. Not for the Jackson purists but if you like your dance music happy, hands in the air and infectious then this is for you. Thanks to our friends at CO 2 promotions for the advance copy.

Madonna – Celebrate (Original radio edit)
Madonna recently announced that she was to release a greatest hits package also featuring some new material so right on cue her record company have typically chosen a very strong tune to herald the imminent arrival of the album. Celebrate is an instant classic, harking back to Ray Of Light in its anthemic style. This is already receiving massive airplay and is going to be huge in bars and clubs right up to Christmas. Pop fans will choose the radio edit for their ipods or parties whilst the Oakenfold and Benny Benassi remixes will appease seasoned clubbers.

Sugababes – Get Sexy (Bitrocka club remix)
Steve Smart on Kiss has been playing this in his weekend shows for some time now and it’s easy to see why. Great production on this mix ensures that it sits well in any vocal house set. The lyrics have cheekily snipped a line from an awful 80s tune which will remain nameless to protect the innocent but don’t let that put you off!! If this tune had been released a little earlier in the year it would have been a monster hit right up there with the Black Eyed Peas “Feeling”. Having said that, Sugababes are the darlings of Radio 1 and thus guaranteed airplay so a high chart placing inevitably beckons. Thanks to The CD Pool for our promo copies

Classic tune selection – Patrick Hernandez – Born To Be Alive
I’m unashamedly showing my age here, I’ve just googled this tune and discovered it was released in 1978 – but I first heard it long after that honest!?!? Throw this tune into a good old disco set and it never fails with its infectious riff and catchy chorus – love it!!!! Jeez I wish the video wasn’t on youtube though – not nice…
